To go the extra mile

You know when your body is just not responding? Well, I've had this alllergy crisis for 3 days now. 

Nevertheless, I call this friend up because he was missing a lotta classes and he told me was gonna be here this morning, so what did I do? I removed my carcass from my comfy bed in the morning just to see him. 

After taking my meds and as soon as the clock strocke ten a.m., my spider sense told me to call him. The S.O.B. was still sleeping, can you believe the nerve?

That's what you get for putting a little extra effort. You never see it back. One of the things I learned is not to expect the efffort you put into things in return. I know he would never do the same for me. My whole body hurts and I was willling to teach him anyway.

The thing is, when you do something like that, you have to do it for yourself, to make yourself feel good, and that's it. Never expect anything in return. 

You know what he said to me When I told him I had woken u early even though I wasn't feeling good? He said I shouldn't have and I should go back to bed. Well, you just waut for next time. my friend...

The "Laminated" List

Remember that episode of Friends in which Rachel and Ross decide to make a list of five ceberities they were allowed to sleep with?

Sorry Barden didin't make it but he's on the waiting list. Maybe next year opens a spot, I don't know. 

I won't have it laminated -we all know how that ends, so I won't make that mistake. Maybe we should be able to change it once a year or so.

The unexpected is what makes life interesting

Class time: Student and I in the living room playing a communicative review game. He had to talk for 30 seconds about a subject to move on.


Question: What's your favorite smell?


As you know, I don't drink coffee, but I have to say that when you make those special coffees with almonds or something else, I don't really know, but that is one of my favorite smells.


Maybe he was buttering me up up with flattery because it's a review for a test, I don't know. But it worked, and I have to say: I don't like expressos, Italian coffee, none of that; but the mixes I make on my French press - that's the bomb.

But back to the student, Imagine it was sincere, since he tasted it once or twice even though he doesn't like coffee and it's really good to hear this things, isn't it? Especially since now I'm doing the whole housewife thing (I let my maid go). 

I have to tell you, it's a lot of work, but the result is much better because you know what you want. I don't know what is going to happen once class start in March, but, till there, I'm captain of this ship.

Getting up to speed

I have to break a few habits that are not very healthy in order to to get things done around here. The thing is, I wake up and come to the computer and somehow, it's night.

Of course, the whole day passed me by. It is not cool, some could say I'd lost the whole day. 

Well, even though I get many things done online, now that I don't have a maid anymore and I have to take care of the house, so I prepared a little schedule to have every room spotless and I have to keep to it.

The computer will still be on, after all, I can't get anything done without music and I can hear if there's a message. I just can't let the days pass me by anymore.

So, hand me the broom, and let's get things done.

Bring Back the Boogie

I think I have payed my dues and now I can come back home.
I just decided I am going to restart in English.


It's good practice, people. Besides, I really missed writing here. I'm glad I was able to save it - Thanks, papa Google, you're the best!


My reasons for disapearing are not as important now. The main thing is that I'm back, I'm glad, and full of hope that this year is going to be very different from the one before.


Last year I had so many reasons to be sad and disappointed in so many people but I learned my lesson I won't let people bring me down anymore because I know I have ME to count on.


This is gong to be THE YEAR, people. And I'm gonna be fearless, fierce, and focused. It's the 'F' year, I guess. LOL.


And I'll get my strengh from the eyes that will always be at the end of the rainbow.

Grey's Anatomy

Eu tenho assistido finalmente Grey's Anatomy, uma das séries que eu evitava há bastante tempo, mas eu fui convencida por @massotoyouko e, por vários motivos, acabei me envolvendo com a série.

A série em si não é assim tão sensacional. è quase uma soap de daytime americano se não tivesse tanto sangue e sexo e drama interno. Uma das melhores coisas sao os diálogos. Acho mesmo que Shonda Rhimes entende como duas mulheres conversam e isso fica bem claro. Eu gosto de brincar com os diagnósticos, etc.

Mas o que me atrai MAIS, nesse momento, é o 'dark and twisty'. I'm in a 'dark and twisty' right now and I can totally relate. That's the thing. I wish I could have my own 'Yang' right now.

So..... Grey's marathon on the couch and lots of tea. I just hope it passes soon.

Pobre coelhinho

Ah, todo mundo já ouviu aquela paidinha do urso que chega pro coelhinho, todo branquinho, e perguntava se ele não se incomodava de sujar o pelo tão branquinho quando ia ao banheiro, ne?

 Bom, só outro dia, ali, em profunda meditação que eu me toquei que o desenhinho do papel higiênico Personal folha dupla eram exatamente de coelhinhos.

Que tipo de pessoa pensa nessas coisas? Quem será o responsável dentro da empresa em escolher a padronagem do papel higiênico??? Tão branquinho...

Eu só não vou dizer que eu me ******* de rir sozinha no banheiro porque a piada já estava pronta, não tem nem graça, ne? Mas diz que o FDP não pensou nisso. Tá bom, rss...
