Tangos e Boleros

I've been listening to these sad sad songs non-stop and singing along all day long but it's not that I'm sad. I just love these songs so much, they are so poignant and dramatic and beautiful and bleak. So hopeless, they make me wanna grab a bottle of Jack and sing my heart off.

I guess my top 8 are:

NUNCA

ALGUÉM ME DISSE
(que tu andas novamente, de novo amor, nova paixão, todo contente)

Should I record an EP? What do you think? I could be the new Maysa.

My babies

After Herminia went to cat heaven (somebody tld me there is a cat heaven and I'm sticking with it. People, Idon't know) I kind of avoided the other cats a little and after realising what I was doing I felt so ashamed of myself and guilty for leaving my babies alone.

They also must have suffered her lost and it was so unfair of my part. I hope they can forgive me for being distant but I guess I needed to bacause it hurt so much.

But now I'm back and play with them, give them the attention they deserve and the love that we need to share.

So we are here, petting each other, going back to our lives while I wait for the results of my test =/

The wait always kills me but they keep me company.

I also have medical test results this week, which I'm very anxious for because they will tell if I can get the surgery and what kind of results to expect.

I'm also getting my passport this week, and I'm very excited about that.

Besides, I've been talking to my tattoo artist and we might have some work done soon. So much exciting news!!!

I also have a lot to do, in case I pass the test (prepare 10 different lessons for the class test - which I have to nail) I just found out my spot has the biggest umber of candidates ¬¬.

Anyway, things to do! So, b-bye.

To go the extra mile

You know when your body is just not responding? Well, I've had this alllergy crisis for 3 days now.

Nevertheless, I call this friend up because he was missing a lotta classes and he told me was gonna be here this morning, so what did I do? I removed my carcass from my comfy bed in the morning just to see him.

After taking my meds and as soon as the clock strocke ten a.m., my spider sense told me to call him. The S.O.B. was still sleeping, can you believe the nerve?

That's what you get for putting a little extra effort. You never see it back. One of the things I learned is not to expect the efffort you put into things in return. I know he would never do the same for me. My whole body hurts and I was willling to teach him anyway.

The thing is, when you do something like that, you have to do it for yourself, to make yourself feel good, and that's it. Never expect anything in return.

You know what he said to me When I told him I had woken u early even though I wasn't feeling good? He said I shouldn't have and I should go back to bed. Well, you just waut for next time. my friend...

The "Laminated" List

Remember that episode of Friends in which Rachel and Ross decide to make a list of five ceberities they were allowed to sleep with?

I decided to share my list with you guys and I would love to get some feedback on this. Not your opinions of my list, duh, this is very personal, but I'd like you to post your own lists in the comment section below, ok? So here we go:

1 - Johnathan Rhys Meyers

2 - John Hamm

 3 - Chris Noth

4 - Joseph Fiennes

5 - Aleksander Saarsgärd

So, there it is, peolple. My list. Yep.

Sorry Barden didin't make it but he's on the waiting list. Maybe next year opens a spot, I don't know.

I won't have it laminated -we all know how that ends, so I won't make that mistake. Maybe we should be able to change it once a year or so.

The unexpected is what makes life interesting

Class time: Student and I in the living room playing a communicative review game. He had to talk for 30 seconds about a subject to move on.

Question: What's your favorite smell?

As you know, I don't drink coffee, but I have to say that when you make those special coffees with almonds or something else, I don't really know, but that is one of my favorite smells.

Maybe he was buttering me up up with flattery because it's a review for a test, I don't know. But it worked, and I have to say: I don't like expressos, Italian coffee, none of that; but the mixes I make on my French press - that's the bomb.

But back to the student, Imagine it was sincere, since he tasted it once or twice even though he doesn't like coffee and it's really good to hear this things, isn't it? Especially since now I'm doing the whole housewife thing (I let my maid go).

I have to tell you, it's a lot of work, but the result is much better because you know what you want. I don't know what is going to happen once class start in March, but, till there, I'm captain of this ship.
